About the role
Our products are small in headcount and serious in uptime. You will own the platform they sit on: provisioning, deployment, networking, backups, observability and the bill at the end of the month.
What you will do
- Define infrastructure as code, and delete anything nobody can explain.
- Build deployment paths that engineers use without asking you first.
- Set up monitoring and alerting that reflects what users feel, not what is easy to graph.
- Lead incident response, then fix the cause rather than the symptom.
What we are looking for
- Production experience on a major cloud, with infrastructure as code as the default.
- Networking, identity and access fundamentals you can reason about under pressure.
- A bias for simple architectures that a small team can operate.
Nice to have
- Cost engineering experience — you have taken a bill down without breaking the product.
- Experience with edge platforms and CDN-first delivery.
